The great Phoenix area
We are greater Phoenix, but we are greatest together.
I’m a second generation Phoenix native
There aren’t that many of us. And now, I’m also raising third generation natives. Frankly, I hope that my fourth generation natives will be born and raised here, too.
All that to say, Phoenix is home. I love my city immensely—but not just because I love its beautiful desert landscape, relatively light traffic, sunny weather, golf courses, and all the other reasons people love the state. I love Phoenix for the reason that Shakespeare knew and wrote about in his Roman epic, Coriolanus:
“What is the city but the people?”
Likewise, I love my neighbors, from the people living on my block to my neighbors without a home. I also love the promise of Phoenix and all it can become.
It’s out of this love, hope, and vision that I contribute what I can to serve my city. From building the startup community to representing my city on delegate missions to other countries, loving the homeless to creating jobs and economic growth, I count it an honor to plant life in and call Phoenix home.
In service of others
Knowing that my life is not about me, I aim for this theme of my work to help my city:
Foster elevated pride in and care for greater Phoenix from its citizens
Serve the less fortunate and marginalized among us
Cultivate economic growth and create new job opportunities
Attract new residents to the valley of the sun on terms that may not always be at the forefront of reasons to move here
Represent greater Phoenix on the global stage as the world’s most generous community for entrepreneurs
And more
