The great Phoenix area

We are greater Phoenix, but we are greatest together.

I’m a second generation Phoenix native

There aren’t that many of us. And now, I’m also raising third generation natives. Frankly, I hope that my fourth generation natives will be born and raised here, too.

All that to say, Phoenix is home. I love my city immensely—but not just because I love its beautiful desert landscape, relatively light traffic, sunny weather, golf courses, and all the other reasons people love the state. I love Phoenix for the reason that Shakespeare knew and wrote about in his Roman epic, Coriolanus:

“What is the city but the people?”

Likewise, I love my neighbors, from the people living on my block to my neighbors without a home. I also love the promise of Phoenix and all it can become.

It’s out of this love, hope, and vision that I contribute what I can to serve my city. From building the startup community to representing my city on delegate missions to other countries, loving the homeless to creating jobs and economic growth, I count it an honor to plant life in and call Phoenix home.

In service of others

Knowing that my life is not about me, I aim for this theme of my work to help my city:

  • Foster elevated pride in and care for greater Phoenix from its citizens

  • Serve the less fortunate and marginalized among us

  • Cultivate economic growth and create new job opportunities

  • Attract new residents to the valley of the sun on terms that may not always be at the forefront of reasons to move here

  • Represent greater Phoenix on the global stage as the world’s most generous community for entrepreneurs

  • And more
